This is a long question, but I tried to explain everything in details.
On the internet there are plenty of threads about this issue, but there is no clear solution.

What is AudioWizard MAXX?
It's basically an EQ and more. With this tool - and only with this - you have proper bass on both the speakers, and your headphones. It is really a must for every device that supports it.

The problem..
This started after many people upgraded to Windows 10. For me, it exists on 8.1 as well.
Basically, the AudioWizard panel just disappears after the upgrade, or it's not working.

But it worked back then! I had a Windows 8.1 installed a year ago or so. Installed the Realtek drivers back then - can't remember if they were from the Realtek or ASUS site, but they had the tool with an ASUS skin on top. It worked. Upgraded to 10 when my Onedrive totally broke itself, and I still had the tool.
Now, after the reinstall? It's broken.

What I tried..
I have tried following all the leads in the ASUS ROG forums. Always removed the drivers from Programs and Features, and always checked Device Manager. Tried even plugging the lan cable just to make sure Windows won't download something.
I have tried following all the leads in the ASUS ROG forums. Always removed the drivers from Programs and Features, and always checked Device Manager. Tried even plugging the lan cable just to make sure Windows won't download something.
This is the list of the software and drivers I have installed:
- [driver] Realtek 2.79 - latest, straight from their site, it's missing the entire MAXX parts
- [driver] Realtek v. 6017027 - the oldest I have stored
- [driver] Realtek v. 6017156
- [driver] Realtek v. 6017576 - 'stole it' from a newer ASUS tower's driver page
- [driver] Realtek v. 6017469 - latest I have for 8.1 and by ASUS
- [tool] AudioWizard_G11CB_G11CD_v10095 - 'stole it' from the tower's page, this was linked in a thread, saying that it worked for some. Well, install fails for me.
- [tool] AudioWizard_G11CB_G11CD_v10073 - 'stole it', same place, same result: installation fails.
My theory:
- There is no AudioWizard icon now anymore in my Start Menu.
- There is, a tab however, in my Realtek HD panel.
- When I click the Launch button, nothing happens.
I suspect, something is missing.
I tried using Process Monitor, but besides plenty of REG reading and whatnot, there is no evidence whatsoever.
- Maybe the laptop needs an ATK like package to get it's sound recognized. I have not modified the BIOS since then.
- Maybe the MAXX audio program is missing a library or something. I do have all the Visual C++ redist packages installed. .net 3.5 and 4.6 too.
One affected laptop model: ASUS G750jz
But others mentioned pretty much all the other G550, G551, G750 and G751 series models.

I also have a fairly recent Asus Laptop and everything worked just fine until I experienced an unknown error a couple days ago and had to basically reset my laptop. None of the other available options would work. I had to use the reset option, and lost a lot of recent data that I didn't backup, which is my fault, so cannot complain.
In any case, after doing the reset, everything seemed to be working. I plug external speakers into my headphone jack, and they have worked fine until this occurred. They worked for about five minutes and then stopped working!!!
Since then, I have reset it again, I have downloaded and updated various drivers and I have met with no success. This is extremely frustrating as there is absolutely no explanation why my speakers will no longer play any sound while they work on every other device and I no longer have access to the AudioWizard MAXX tool that was working earlier.
This is a huge problem and I am sure there is a steadily growing number of unhappy people over it!

Hi Vincenzo,
Thank you for using Windows 10.
We regret for the inconvenience. I suggest you to try uninstalling and re-installing the drivers for the devices with you're facing issues in compatibility mode and check if that helps. Try the below mentioned steps:
- Go to your manufacturer’s website and download the Driver setup file for your computer.
- Press Windows Key + R on your desktop screen to go to run box.
- Type devmgmt.msc and hit Enter.
- Look for the Drivers, expand, then right click and select Uninstall.
- If you are prompted to Confirm, then Confirm.
- Go to the location where you had saved your downloaded setup files of the drivers and right click, then select Properties.
- Select Compatibility Tab.
- Place a check mark next to Run this program in Compatibility mode and select the operating system accordingly from the drop down list.
- Let the driver to install and then check the functionality.
Hope this helps. Keep us posted on the status of the issue and we’ll be glad to help you further.

Same problem with my ASUS M11BB desktop - I initiated a ticket with ASUS and their reply was to revert to Windows 8.1 if I wanted to use Maxx Audio. Sorely miss this driver/app and clearly ASUS has no plans to support Windows 10 on my desktop. This should be a simple fix in that it is simply a driver issue - one that worked before the upgrade to Windows 10. Waves? Realtek? ASUS? Microsoft? Who will step up? Anyone?

Hi.
I solved by installing the REALTEK AUDIO DRIVER on this link (but i have a n550j notebook model!):
The ASUS support help me in this. They tell me to unistall first the audio driver from the control panel and then to reinstall them:

Thanks - I have done this at least a dozen times and tried all the relevant Windows 8.1 drivers for my desktop. (and some irrelevant drivers too) No change.
Whatever Windows 10 did to the audio drivers, it would seem that there is no going back to the 8.1 drivers, they simply don't work. Microsoft knows what they did and their upgrade to 10 is clearly the problem. I remain patient that someone will figure this out and update - or allow the 8.1 drivers to work again. The search for a solution goes on. Thanks for the reply!

I too am having the same problem. My computer is a DELL laptop. When I upgraded I lost The Waves Maxx Studio which completely degraded the sound quality of my laptop. A BIG disappointment! I have gone to DELL's website and to the available drivers for my particular model laptop. There are no Audio drivers listed at all. There are drivers such as chipset, Lan etc. but again no audio drivers at all. The sound chip for my laptop is made by IDT. I have tried to find a driver from IDT but have been unable to locate one or any for that matter from them. FYI my Laptop is a DELL Inspiron 7720. I realize that this is NOT Microsofts fault but am hoping someone will see this post and possibly can lead myself and others to a solution. Thanks for any help anyone can give.

I have found a solution to my problem! If you have A DELL Inspiron 5720/7720 or 7720SE like me then this should work for you as well. http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=PMYYG Follow this link. It goes directly to DELL's website. It is the driver that completely restored Waves Maxx Audio to my DELL Inspiron 7720SE that I upgraded to Windows 10 64bit. This driver is not listed as compatible with Windows 10 but I tried it anyways and It is working for me. If anyone affiliated with DELL reads this then it would be EXTREMELY helpful to include this driver for your customers in a place where they can find it EASILY such as the driver list for their particular machine! It was VERY difficult to find this and most people would never find it. If you have a laptop from a different manufacture I highly recommend you try the previous version of the sound driver and it may work for you as apparently Windows 10 must be backward compatible with some Windows 8.1 drivers which is what I upgraded from. Hope this helps somebody.
